Substantial early C18 double-span house incorporating earlier timber framed
structure. 2 storeys, attic and basement, 5 windows. High pitched tiled roof
has masked gable ends with stone coping; and 3 hipped dormers. Later moulded
wood eaves cornice. Red brick with some blue headers. 1st floor band and plinth.
C18 sash windows with glazing bars in flush moulded frames, those on ground
floor under segmental brick arches. At either end of 1st floor plaster relief
medallions of women's heads, named: Sarah and Lekrecia. One storey and attic
kitchen wing at right. Interior has large inglenook fireplace and C18 panelling.

Chafford Park, the front garden wall and mounting block, the brick barn and the barn
to West of it form a group.
