1886. (dated escutcheon on porch bearing Ailesbury monogram and coronet with
legend "Fuimus"). Former lodge to Savernake Forest. Red brick. Yellow brick
and ashlar dressings. Pyramidal fish-scale slate roof. Central brick stack
with cornicing. 1 storey. Yellow brick brackets to eaves. Central porch with
steeply pointed coped gable and arch to planked door. 2 flanking stone-mullioned
casements with glazing bars, similar arches. 2 similar windows at sides.
