Deeds of 1740 but with early C19 alterations. Originally a farmhouse with No
169 as a brick cottage added at east end. 2 storeys stone rubble. Gable end
old pantile roof. 3 window front with flush framed glazing bar sashes on 1st
floor and 3 light Yorkshire casement ground floor. Later stone gabled central
porch and glazed door to left. No 169 the 2 storey brick cottage has one glazing
bar sash window to each floor and trellis tent roof porch. Stepney House has
single storey stone rubble wing to rear and the gable ends of roof have saddlestones.
