SU 75 SE ODIHAM RYE COMMON

C17, early C19. Symmetrical facade of the later date, 2 storeys and attic,
3 windows. Red tile roof, 3 hipped roofed modern dormers, brick dentil
eaves. Red brick walling in Flemish bond, rubbed flat arches, plinth.
Modern sashes. Gothic style porch, with curving barge-boards and octagonal
columns. Large chimney stack at south end. Internal framing indicates
earlier origin, still surviving in part at the rear, with old doors. One
room has C17 panelling said to be from Old Basing House.
