Terrace of 8 houses, now mostly small hotels. c1834-39,
restored late C20. Yellow stock brick; Nos 1-3 with stucco
ground floors. Stucco 1st floor band. Slated mansard roofs
with dormers. 3 storeys, attics and basements. 2 windows each.
Round-arched ground floor openings. Architraved stucco
doorways with pilaster-jambs carrying cornice-heads; patterned
fanlights and panelled doors; those to Nos 2, 6, 7 and 8 C20
reproduction. All doors C20 reproduction except No.4. Ground
floor windows to Nos 1, 2 and 3 with original margin lights.
Gauged brick flat arches to recessed sash windows; 1st floor
with cast-iron balconies. Stucco capped parapets.
INTERIORS: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached cast-iron railings with
tasselled spearhead finials.
