GV II

A terrace of 4 houses. 1840. White brick with stone details;
hipped slate roof with a wide plain eaves soffit.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellars. 8 window range: the centre,
with 2 windows, breaks forward slightly. All the windows are
in plain reveals. 12-pane sashes with margin glazing to the
1st storey; small-paned ground storey windows with margin
glazing and semicircular heads; surrounds with stone impost
blocks. A plain stone band between the storeys has 'ALBERT
BUILDINGS 1840' inscribed across the centre. 4 doorways, one
at each end and 2 in the centre, have 4-panel doors with flush
panels and semicircular fanlights with radiating glazing-bars;
the doorways have plain semicircular brick surrounds with
stone impost blocks.
