Corner of Church Street and Lake Road. Mid C19. Stuccoed, slate roof, 2 storeys. Canted
corner has pilastered doorway of 2 round-arched glazed doors. At each side are C19 shop
windows with pilasters and small lights divided by slender colonnets. A continuous cornice
over whole ground floor, and another above the fascia. Similar windows on the upper floor on
the canted corner and the Church Street front (Lake Road front is blank, with a moulded square
panel), the Church Street windows having round-headed lights, and in the centre above is a
small gable with a shield.
Nos 2 to 11 (consec), Royal Oak Hotel, Premises occupied formerly by T and J Glen and Old Stamp House form a group with No. 22 (formerly listed as Premises occupied by Tyson) Lake Road.
