31-MAY-01 ary's Church
GV II
War memorial. c.1920. Ashlar. Memorial is in the form of a churchyard preaching cross. An octagonal stepped base supports a square plinth which becomes octagonal at the top. From this rises a crucifix, the cross with Christ and the octagonal shaft all in one. On the plinth are inscribed the names of the Fallen in both World Wars.
This finely-detailed memorial forms a group with the nearby Church of St. Mary (qv).
