Row of houses, one now in use as post office. Late C16 or
early C17. Timber-framed with plain tiled roof. 2 storeys,
6-window range. Irregular square panelled framing with mid
rail to each storey. Each dwelling a 2-unit plan, the central
entrance in Nos 164 & 166, doorway to left in No.165.
Pedimented canopy over doorway to No.165, plain architrave on
brackets to No.164, and moulded architrave to No.166. Sash
windows flank the doorway to No.164, casements in Nos 165 &
166. Upper windows are casements, irregularly spaced. 4
dormers in roof with fretted barge-boards with finials. Rear
and axial stacks.
