Boundary walls, railings and gates. 1874. Probably by Innocent
& Brown for the Sheffield School Board. Coursed squared stone
with ashlar dressings and wrought-iron gates.
London Road range has to left a spiked railing with chamfered
plinth, approx 75m long, with 2 small gateways with stone
piers with chamfered copings. To right, a wall with chamfered
coping and an opening without piers to left.
Queen's Road range has to right a similar railing, approx 50m
long, with a gateway to right, with a large gabled pier. To
left, a wall with chamfered coping.
The walls meet at an acute angled rounded corner incorporating
a single storey toilet block.
An ancillary building to Lowfield Junior and Infant Schools
(qv). Included for group value.
