Entrance lodge, screen walls and gateway. Early C19 with late
C20 alterations. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings
and pyramidal slate roof with coped stone rear wall stack.
Heavily rusticated quoins, plinth, cornice and blocking
course. Single storey; single window. Windows are C20 top hung
glazing bar casements. Moulded stone doorcase with cornice on
scroll brackets and moulded 6-panel door, flanked to left by a
window in a similar surround with cornice. Left return has a
similar window. Coursed rubble concave screen walls, attached
to right of lodge, have ramped slab coping. Gateway has
rusticated ashlar piers with cornices and ball finials. Inside
these, wrought-iron skeleton piers and double wrought-iron
gates. Attached to the rear of the lodge, a section of similar
wall with a ball finial, approx 5m long.
