House, now 2 dwellings. C17; remodelled as 2 cottages in late
C18/early C19; altered and extended to the left in later C19.
Limestone rubble, pebbledashed and rendered; steeply-pitched
double-Roman tiled roofs with a brick stack to the right of
No.5 to the right, stone coping and moulded kneeler to the
left gable end. Formerly 2-unit plan.
One storey and attic; 3-window range. No.6 to the left has
late C19 horned 2/2-pane sashes, including one to half dormer,
and mid C19 one-window extension to left with 2-light
casements and C20 porch. No.5 to right has central C20 porch
and flanking late C18/early C19 two-light flat-faced
stone-mullioned windows; 2-light casements to half-dormers.
INTERIORS not inspected but No.5 has a C17 arched timber frame
to the door and is noted as having a chamfered axial beam to
the interior.
