east front, Church of St Mary

GV II

Walls enclosing St Mary's Churchyard (qv) with gatepiers, gates and steps on east front. Circa 1860. Walls: random
rubble local stone; various moulded coping. Gatepiers, Ham stone, obscured by ivy at time of survey (November 1985),
moulded coping to low retaining wall of steps terminating in pier with cross gable coping. Double wrought iron gate.
This gate connected the churchyard with the vicarage grounds, now Buckland House lqvl.
