Early C19. Beach flint. North elevation stuccoed.
2 storeys. Parapet with rendered coping masking roof. 1st floor has 4 double-hung
sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals. Both Nos 55 and 57 have projecting
shop fronts.
Door of No 55 is partly glazed, with 2 moulded panels, and is set in deep reveals
within a doorcase of 2 reeded pilasters and a reeded architrave, with a plain cornice,
and convex paterae on the capitals. Door to Nos 55A and 57 is partially glazed
with glazing bars, has 2 moulded panels and a semi-circular fanlight above. Both
have 2 limestone steps up.

Nos 43 to 57 (odd) and wall between Nos 49 and 51 form a group.
