Cottage. C17 with early to mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber
framed with brick infill panels and some brick rebuilding; plain tile
roof; brick ridge stack. Formerly a 2-cell baffle entry plan house;
minor C20 extensions to rear and to left hand end. One storey and attic,
3 square panels to eaves and straight tension braces. Three C20 ground
floor casements with latticed panes, one gabled attic dormer to left
of centre. Blocked doorway in front of stack. Exposed collar and
tie beam roof truss to the right hand gable carrying one pair of purlins.
Interior. Re-used and rearranged late C17 staircase with turned balusters
and patterned foot newel with ball finial. Large open fireplace with
timber surround. Chamfered and stopped spine beams. Slightly curved
wind braces.
