Pigeoncote. 1677, restored c.1980. Built for the Sacheverells.
Red brick, ashlar dressings. Pyramidal plain tile roof with wood
and plain tile glover with entrances for birds. Raised eaves
band with ashlar band extending under. Octagonal-plan. One and
a half storeys. West side has raised doorway with flush ashlar
quoin surround and plank door. South side has a single fixed
light over the ashlar band. Interior with cobbled floor retains
most of the plaster nesting boxes which originally covered all
the walls about a single metre from the ground. At the east side
is a restored plaster crest. Interior doorway has 3 centred
arched brick reveal. During restoration interior of nesting box
found inscribed "1677 WS".
