Cottage. Late C17 with early C19 alterations. Timber-framed with brick nogging, and
a small C19 addition. Plain tile roof with a single brick gable stack. Single
storey plus attic, 2 bay box-framing, with a brick gable addition to the east
enclosing the formerly external gable stack. The south front has a central wooden
doorway with plank door, flanked by single, 2 light glazing bar sliding sashes,
above 2 gabled dormers each with a 2 light glazing bar casement. Rear wall has
2 lean-to corrugated iron sheds, and a doorway with plank door, and a 2 light
glazing bar casement to the left. Above a small gabled dormer with 2 light casement.
Interior: Contains an inglenook fireplace, stud partition, panel doors and a
winder staircase with splat balusters. The ceilings have chamfered spine beams
and the original roof is very largely intact.
