4/91 Barns on west and south side of
yard at Lynher Farm
GV II
Range of farmbuildings including barn and cart shed. Probably early to mid C19
reusing some earlier material. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Rag slate roof
with hipped ends.
Plan: Overall 'L' shaped plan. Shippons and stables on ground floor with loft above
and cartshed in wing to front right.
Exterior: Two storeys. Asymmetrical front elevation facing yard. The south range
has a reset probable C16 2-centred chamfered Polyphant stone arch on left with
shippon doors and a feeding door to right. First floor with granite surround for 3-
light mullion window, the mullions removed and loft opening to right. The west range
which returns to front right has shippon doors to left and wide opening forming 2-
storey open-fronted vehicle shed to right.
