House pair. Early and later C18. Ground floor of red brick in Flemish
bond. First floor of left section with exposed framing of thin
scantling and rendered infilling. First floor of right section tile-
hung. 2 storeys and garret, right section 2 storeys with lower eaves
and ridge. Roof of left section half-hipped to right and left, roof
of right section hipped to right. Central brick ridge stack to left
section and central rear stack to right. Irregular fenestration of 3
windows; two 2-light leaded casements to left section and one 12-pane
sash to right side of right section. Single-storey red brick addition
with half-hipped roof, projecting forwards from left end, with ribbed
door to the Old Post Office. Blocked door under stack of left section.
Panelled door to Forge Cottage, to left end of right section, with
consoled broken-based triangular pediment. Rendered and tile-hung
lean-to to right. Rear lean-to to left section. Interior not inspected.
