Small farmhouse. Mid C17. Plastered cob on rubble footings, exposed to right and
rear; stone rubble stack with C19 brick chimney shaft; thatched roof under
corrugated iron. 2 room plan house facing south comprising small entrance lobby and
stairs at right (east) end. Large heated room and small unheated room at left
(west) end. Large lateral stack projecting to rear. 2-storeys with attics in
roofspace. 2 window front of late C19-early C20 casements with glazing bars. Third
first floor window now blocked at right end over the plank door in chamfered door
frame. Attics lit by small casements in gable ends. Wall plate with chamfered
soffit shows under front eaves.
Interior: main room has a chamfered and scroll-stopped crossbeam to right and a
roughly finished crossbeam to left. Fireplace is blocked but oven on left side
shows by external projection. Cream alcove to right of fireplace. Roof not
inspected.
