Monument to Charlton Family about ½ metre south of tower of Church of All Saints

Monument. Late C17 or early C18. Stone. Pedestal, set on moulded
stone base, formerly railed. Broad chamfered and moulded cornice to
pedestal, upper chamfer carved with festoons and text. Above this, a
smaller moulded stone base to a stone carved with grotesque face on
each of 3 sides, and with north side blank. Plinth incised on each
face except north, with oval panel surrounded with foliage, setting
sun and rose. Heraldic device above panel. Latin inscription on
south and east sides.
