3 cottages. Mid C19, possibly earlier core. Plastered cob on rubble footings;
rubble stacks topped with C19 and C20 brick; thatched roof. L-shaped building with
long main block facing south-west and small crosswing projecting back from right
(south-eastern) end. It is occupied by 3 cottages. No. 2 to right has the
crosswing with end stack and 2 rooms on main front with axial stack in party wall
with No. 3. Nos 3 and 4 are 1 room cottages, former with rear projecting lateral
stack and latter with projecting end stack. 2 storeys. Overall irregular 7 window
front comprising 2 C20 casements without glazing bars to left (No. 4), 2 C20
casements with glazing bars to centre (No. 3) and 3 windows to right (No. 2).
Latter includes mid-late C19 3-light horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars, 2
to first floor left and 1 to ground floor left. Others are late C19 - early C20
casements with glazing bars. No. 4 has central door, No. 3 has left side door and
C20 porch and door to No 2 in crosswing on right side. Roof hipped each end.
Crosswing, facing south-west, has irregular 2-window front of C20 casements with
Glazing bars. Single first floor window has 3 pigeon holes to left, 2 to right.
C19 6-panel door to left.
Interiors show plain carpentry detail and limited access to roof suggested it was
all C19 king post trusses. The general layout might suggest early origins of the
building but exposed features are consistently C19.
