Cottage. Mid-late C17, C20 extension. Plastered cob on rubble footings; probably
cob stack topped with C20 brick; thatched roof. 1 (originally 2) room plan cottage
facing west with C20 extension on right (south) end. Large stack projecting from
left (north) gable end. 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3-window front of circa 1980
casements with glazing bars. Central door with early C20 glass-sided and gabled
porch. Roof half hipped to right.
Interior: a narrow chamfered crossbeam with scroll stops to right of doorway marks
position of former crosswall. Main room to left has chamfered crossbeam with runout
stops, the same finish as the fireplace lintel. Left side of fireplace has C19
brick side oven with cast iron door. A-frame roof trusses of halved tree trunks.
