Farmhouse, now boarding house to Stonar School. Late C17, extended
Cl9. Random rubble stone, stone slate roof with stone stacks with
moulded cappings, coped verges. L-plan. Two-storey and attic, 4-
window. Six-panelled door in trellised porch to left of centre, 3-
light ovolo-mullioned casement to left, two C19 three-light
mullioned casements with arch lights to right. First floor has 2-
light ovolo-mullioned casements with hoodmould to left, three 2-
light mullioned casements with arched lights to right; right hand
bay is C19 extension. Gable of wing to left has 2-light ovolo-
mullioned attic casement, hipped dormer to right has 2-light
casement. Left return has 6-panelled door in trellised porch to
left of centre, 3-light ovolo-mullioned casement with hoodmould
either side and a 2-light mullioned casement to right, four 2-light
mullioned casements to first floor, two hipped attic dormers with
2-light casements. Rear has large gabled stack and blocked attic
window to right gable.
Interior: central part of south range has deep chamfered beams with
stepped stops, and former external wall between this and west wing
suggest south range is earliest build, possibly early C17.
