Farmhouse. C1600 with alterations of C19 and mid C20. 2 storeys and attics.
Timber-framed and plastered; much ground floor walling underbuilt in red brick
in mid C19, and the right-hand gable in mid C20. Plaintiled roofs with gable
C19 casement dormers. A rear C17 chimney of red brick and another at gable of
C20. Mid C19 sashes with sidelights at ground storey and casements above.
Glazed C20 entrance door. The main range is of 2 cells; a pair of short
original rear wings have ovolo-moulded fascias at the gable foot. Ground
floor rooms have ovolo-moulded main beams. Both chambers have good early C17
plaster cornices, and fleurs-de-lys and other emblems in the ceilings. A 2-
storey wing was added to left in 1970.
