1/180 Montague Cottage

GV II

Detached cottage. Stone tablet over door with RMI/1682. Rubble
stone, thatched roof, gable-end brick stacks. Two-storey, 2-
window. Central planked door with chamfered wooden case in gabled
porch with pantiles, 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned window to
left, 3-light ovolo-mullioned window to right, with hoodmoulds.
First floor has two 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned windows.
Left return has 2-light mullioned window to ground and first
floors, 1-light chamfered casement to attic, attached is single-
storey weatherboarded lean-to shed. Rear has 3-light mullioned
window and C20 3-light casement to ground floor, 2-light mullioned
window and C20 casement to first floor. Coped verges to roof.
Interior has open fireplace with cambered lintel on brick jambs to
north room, C20 alterations.
