Semi-detached house. Mid C19. Flemish bond brick, Welsh slate
roof with brick stacks. Built as a parallel range to rear of The
Linnett (q.v.), entrance on gable end. Two-storey, 2-window.
Four-panelled door with canted bay to right, first floor has two
sashes with segmental heads, pierced decorative barge boards
matching those on inn to left. Right return has segmental-headed
sashes to ground and first floor, gables with barge boards over
latter.
Interior retains original fittings. Stone dwarf walls with good
spearhead railings and matching gate enclose semi-circular front
garden, stone rusticated gate piers with weathered tops and
inscribed name LORNE COTTAGE.
