MANSFIELD WOODHOUSE off DEBDALE LANE SK 56 SW (north side) 3/36 Stables at Debdale Hall G.V. II Stable range. Now stables and workshops. Early C18 and mid C19. Dressed stone with hipped plain tile and slate roofs. Ashlar dressings. Plinth, first floor and eaves bands, coped gable. Single side wall and 2 rear wall stacks. 2 storeys, 7 plus 5 bays. C19 range has central stable yard. Segmental headed doorways have keystones. C18 range has to left, C19 addition with segmental headed carriage door and C20 fenestration. East front has projecting pedimented central bay with pair of carriage doors. To left, a garage door and to left again, blocked window. To right, door, blocked doorway and a casement. To right again, recessed bay with pair of garage doors. Above, 4 metal casements, blocked window and plain sash. Pediment has a round opening. Return angle to south has casement and above, a blocked window. C19 range has to east, to left, blocked door and doorway. To right, boundary wall with flat coping. Stable yard has to south, 2 casements with segmental heads and C20 doors and windows. Above, 4 windows with plastic glazing. East side has central pair of carriage doors with elliptical heads. Above, to right, a door. North side has 4 carriage openings with elliptical heads, and to right, 2 doors. Above, 4 bay hay barn and to right, plastic glazed window. West front has central blocked carriage opening flanked by single doors with overlights, plus C20 casement. Above, 2 plastic glazed windows. C18 range has, to west, blocked carriage entry with segmental head and inserted casement. Above, central round window. To left, plain sash. To right, 3 different casements. Adjoining C19 stables, L-plan, have to west a casement flanked by single stable doors. To north, 2 stable doors. Adjoining curved boundary wall has half-round coping. Approx. 5M long. Other adjoining outbuildings are of no special interest.
