House. Early C19 with early C18 core and mid C19 alterations. Red brick with slate and
pantile roofs and brick end stacks. Central staircase plan with rear wings. 3 storeys; 3-window
range of 8/8 unhoped sashes under stucco lintels. Central moulded stucco doorcase has
hood supported on curved brackets and 6-panel door. French window with margin lights
and attic window on left end and 6/6 sash and attic window on right end. Various sashes
and casements on rear wings, together with 6-panel door and overlight. INTERIOR: fine
open well stick baluster staircase rises full height; several early C19 fireplaces and cast iron
grates. Cast-iron range in kitchen fireplace which has large possibly early stack. Early C18
staircase in rear wing where also 2-panel doors with H and HL hinges. A house is shown
on the site and with the orientation of the present rear wings in a map and survey of 1734.
