GV II
Inn, dated 1843 on porch, ironstone with ashlar dressings, stone slate roofs and ornate ashlar Tudor style stacks. Large, roughly square plan with shouldered coped gables and finials, mullion windows and leaded lights and flush quoins. Two storeys. South front is gabled each end and has 3 varied gables to front. To left, slightly projected chimney gable with octagonal paired shafts, Lansdowne monogram plaque and ground floor lean-to stone- slated verandah; to centre, smaller gable over upper 3-light and projecting gabled porch with Tudor-arched doorway and wings each side with single lights; to right, projecting wing with broad gable, upper 3-light window and ground floor 1-3-1-light projecting mullioned and transomed canted bay. East and west sides are similar with main gable at end of front range and 2-window lower range beyond with 2-light windows, mullion-and-transom below, eaves-breaking dormer gables above. Roofs hipped at north ends. West side has ridge stack of 4 clustered shafts, east has 3 octagonal shafts. To rear, single storey range connecting to coach-house, large double entry flanked each side by cambered- headed door and window.
