Farmhouse, probably C16 with alterations of c.1800 and C19. 2 storeys, 7
windows. Timber-framed and plastered in panels, with C19 cable-pattern
pargetting. Plaintiled roof with axial chimney of C19; a large C17 rear
chimney of red brick has diaper patterning in burnt headers and linked square
shafts. Small-pane sashes of c.1800 with moulded architraves. Good entrance
doorway with 6-panelled door (the central panels small and under-square),
panelled reveals and moulded architrave, and a shallow cornice on console
brackets. One room has good moulded C16 ceiling joists. 3 rear wings of
various dates, all encased in early C20 brick; a long service wing at the
north end interlocks with the rear of No.3, High Street.
