SJ41SE ROMAN ROAD 653-1/4/517 (South side) 19/09/72 Kingsland Grove

GV II

House, now part of school house. Early C19. Brick with hipped Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys, 3-window range, with narrow projecting wing to right, and entrance in the angle. 6-panelled door with overlight in moulded architrave with console brackets to entablature. Squared bay window to left added in early C20. Sixteen-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads above. Full-height bow window in advanced bay to right, with 4-light French doors to ground floor, and 16-pane sash windows above. Rear elevation has central 6-panelled door with fanlight in pedimented case flanked by 16-pane sash windows. Axial stacks. Lower 2-storeyed service wing to north.
