St Martin's Cottages

GV II

Pair of cottages. Early C18 and C19, incorporating part of an
earlier building. Late C20 additions. Red brick and coursed
rubble, with gabled and hipped plain tile roofs. 2 gable and 2
ridge brick stacks.
2 storeys, and single storey plus attics; 2:3 bays. Lower
range, to left, has coursed rubble lower floor, with 2 small
C19 windows and beyond, single smaller windows. Above, to
left, a 2-light glazing bar casement, and to right, a
Yorkshire sash. Range to right has in the centre two
triangular headed casements, C19, flanked by a C20 door to
left and a part-glazed panelled door to right. Beyond, to
left, a Yorkshire sash, and to right, a late C20 casement,
both segment-headed. Above, 3 hipped dormers, C19 and late
C20, with 2-light casements. Right return has late C20 porch
and rear addition.
