Gatehouse and barn. C16 superstructure on earlier masonry,
with much-altered C17 range to north, and C18/C19 range to
south. Sandstone rubble with dressed quoins, to ground floor;
roughcast to timber-frame; Welsh slate gable roof. Northern
range of rubble with timber-frame and brick over, and plain
tile roof. Southern range of brick and slate. Gatehouse: a
2-storey range with single small opening, under jettied gable.
Passageway has blocked pointed stone arch to right wall, with
slit over; stop-chamfered ceiling-frame. Courtyard front of
post and pan framing with single opening under jetty of
diagonally studded gable; concreted rubble stairs, with timber
flight over, to left.
INTERIOR: 1st floor displays cleft wattle panels; V-strut
truss. 1st bay of north range is probably of C17 origin, with
the remainder of C19 construction, on earlier front wall.
