Barn. Mid C17. Timber-framed and black weatherboarded with
plain tile gabled roof. 5 bays with central gabled midstrey on
south-west side, with lean-to roofed extensions either side.
The south-west extension has a slate roof and is granary with
elevated floor, probably formerly on staddles, of which a
number have been reused elsewhere in vicinity. Lean-to C20
extension on north-east.
INTERIOR: good quality framing with all principal timbers
chamfered and jowled posts. 3 original braces to tie beams
survive and others replaced with elm hanging knees. Side walls
have straight bracing interrupting studs. Roof is V-strutted
with through purlins and principal rafters expand above
purlins. Midstrey is contemporary, with jowled door posts.
