Sarah Kidney

Memorial. c1895. Gritstone ashlar. Square, 3-stepped base with
plinth block surmounted by miniature square-sectioned tapering
industrial chimney, approx 3m high and of rock-faced stone
with cornice and cap. The plinth and base carry the
inscription which commemorates Sarah Kidney, d.1895, aged 59,
also Thomas Kidney, 'the oldest steeplejack in England'
d.1914, aged 82. Also other members of his family.
