House. Late C16 and early C17. Timber-framed and rendered with
gabled plain tile roof with stack through rear slope.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range; 3 lean-to rear
extensions. 1st floor has two 3-light small-paned casement
windows and one small window with cross-pattern glazing bars.
Ground floor has two C20 asymmetrical small-paned casements, a
low boarded door and one C19 small-paned casement.
INTERIOR: very complex framing, much altered, but with some
jowled posts. Large wavy curved wall brace in south-east flank
exposed inside. Appears to be a late C16 single-storey
building raised in C17 with good curved wall braces of this
phase. Part of floor has stop-chamfered joists and 2
back-to-back inglenooks, one with large mantel beam, but the
other to the north-west of older brickwork. Formerly
weatherboarded on rear.
