House, now two shops. Mid C18, with late C19 shopfronts.
Orange-buff brick in Flemish bond with timber shopfronts and
cornice; pantile roof with brick stack.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey 4-window front. Double shopfront has glazed
and panelled doors with overlights and large-pane sash
windows, No.46 over panelled riser, beneath full-width moulded
cornice on grooved consoles. Shopfront to No.47 returned at
right end. First floor windows are 15-pane sashes, 12-pane
sashes on second floor, with painted stone sills and flat
arches of orange gauged brick. Moulded modillion cornice with
inverted bell fluted rainwater head at left end. 4-course
raised brick band to second floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected. RCHM records fittings mostly C19 and
C20.
