House, now nursery school. Mid C19, altered C20. Brick with
painted stone dressings. Slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and 3 bays. The outer bays have 2-storey
canted bay windows which have a cornice between storeys and
are sashed without glazing bars. The 1st floor windows have a
sill band, and the central window has sashes divided into
large square panes. The central doorway is covered by a C20
lean-to porch with a roof of corrugated sheeting. The
modillioned gutter cornice continues around the bay windows.
Chimneys to left and right.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: the garden front wall is of brick with a
stone coping. The wall and coping returns at the left-hand
side, where it carries iron railings with cast finials.
Included for group value as an integral part of this important
historic mid C19 square.
