House. C18 with C17 rear range and c1830 alterations and additions. Timber-framed, rendered; hipped plain tile roofs. T-plan. 3-unit front range with back-to-back fireplaces and off-centre entrance hall; rear wing flanked by later lean-to additions, has central stack. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Off-centre 6-panel door surmounted by rectangular fanlight in Tuscan porch. 20-pane sashes in moulded architraves with sills. Off-centre ridge stack and end stack to right. 20-pane sash to right flank; 3-light casement to 1st floor and French window to left flank. Rear has 1st-floor 16-pane sash to left, 3-light casement to right; roof hipped over left bay. Rear wing has French window and C20 bow window; two 6-pane sashes above. INTERIOR: open-well staircase with ramped mahogany handrail, stick balusters and wave-out tread ends. End room to left has corner cupboard with shell head and shaped shelves. Rear wing two bays of timber-frame with probable later addition to end. Chamfered spine beams with step stops.
