Pair of semi-detached houses. Mid C18. Render over
timber-frame on brick plinth; half-hipped gambrel roof with
brick ridge stack to front and gambrel roofs with brick end
stacks to rear. Each house of 2 unit plan.
EXTERIOR: one storey and attics: 2-window range. C20 door to
No.27 and C19 plank door with moulded flat hoods. Flat
rendered arches over C20 windows, moulded wood cornice, hipped
dormers with moulded wood cornices. 1980s extension to right.
INTERIOR: No.27 has exposed timber-frame inside, with wall
bracing, C18 open fireplace, chamfered beam supported on
pegged-in block between studs of lateral partition, C18 winder
stairs and C18 plank doors with strap hinges. No.29 not
inspected but noted as having similar features.
