Semi-detached pair of houses, No.15 to the left is now
offices. Mid C19. Painted stucco, continuous slate roof with
moulded stacks to party walls and returns.
STYLE: Picturesque Tudor.
PLAN: Double-depth.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attics; symmetrical 4-window range to
the pair, with gabled outer bays making 1:2:1 fenestration.
The outer bays are stepped forward with fretted bargeboards to
the gables; the party wall is fronted by a weathered buttress;
raised surrounds to most windows. Single-light windows to the
gable attics (No.15 has a late C19 square casement);
cross-windows to the first floor and right of ground floor of
No.14. Other ground floor windows are similar 3-light
casements in rectangular bays with pendant cast-iron friezes
under hipped copper roofs.
Entrances in the returns in glazed porches similar to the
bays.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of the Courtenay Park development, laid out in 1854.
