House, now shop and flat. Early/mid C18 with C20 alterations.
Mottled red brick laid in a variant of English garden wall
bond. Steep slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic. 3 bays. The ground floor has
been entirely altered by the insertion of a C20 shopfront. On
the 1st floor there are sashes without glazing bars with
painted flat arches. Brick dentil course at the eaves. 2 large
axial chimney stacks on ridge. The left-hand (east) gable wall
has an attic window which is sashed with 3 over 3 panes.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Included for group value as an integral part of Holgate
Street.
