House. C16 with later alterations. Rendered and whitewashed timber-frame with weatherboarded gable ends. Thatched roof with brick central ridge stack. 2-unit lobby-entry plan extended to left. 2 storeys; 2-window range of 2-light casements over 3-light. Large central gabled porch and door. Single-storey and attic and single-storey extension to left end with further casements and door. French door with 3-light casement above to right end. Casements and door to rear. INTERIOR. Close-studded timber-frame with tension braces to first floor and jowled posts. Room to right has high quality framing with roll-moulded chamfers to bridging beam, joists, middle rail to gable end and bridging beam above open fireplace. This has a plain bressumer and is back-to-back with another open fireplace in the left room and the hood above survives. First floor bridging beams but the rest of the roof is C20.
