Cottage with attached stables and outbuildings. c1800 with C19 alterations. Dressed stone with ashlar dressings. Slate roof with ashlar coped gables and 3 stone stacks. 2 storey. North, courtyard front has 10 irregularly spaced openings. To left large flat headed entrance archway with timber lintel, then doorway to No 56A with part glazed 4-panel door in flush ashlar surround flanked by single 16-pane glazing bar sashes, and above 4 similar glazing bar sashes. Beyond to right pair of doorways in flush ashlar surrounds with overlights and boarded doors flanked by single stable windows, above 2 outer openings that to left boarded and that to right with later 16-pane glazing. Then coach house with pair of double plank doors with overlight and above pair of part-glazed taking-in doors. Beyond 2 plank doors, that to right with overlight, and an external stone staircase leading to plank upper door with 2 windows to left. These buildings were built to serve the Paris Pavilion and its Cold Water Bath.
