Detached house. C17 origins. Local lias stone near-ashlar; Welsh slate roof between stepped coped gables with
indication of roof having been raised; brick end chimney stacks. L-plan; 2 storeys, 3 bays. Above, small 3-light
horizontal bar casement windows under timber lintols; below sash windows of 6, 20 and 4 panes respectively, the centre
window offset to balance C20 4-panel door hung on a heavy ovolo-mould frame; over all lower openings a continuous
label, stepped up over doorway. To north gable an additional long wing, one bay width on roadside elevation, with
hipped double Roman clay tile roof; tall timber garage doors below and 16-pane sash window above. Interior not seen;
only a cross beam noted. Three metres in front of house low Ham stone ashlar wall with 1 metre high late C19 railings
of hoops enclosing barbed arrowhead points: matching gate opposite entrance doorway, with returns to house each side;
the whole contributing to the setting of the house and to the streetscape generally. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO,
