Farmhouse. C15 or early C16 with later alterations and largely
C18 facade. Timber framed. Front elevation red brick, with grey
headers forming vertical chains towards each end, and a chain of
diamonds towards centre. Plain tile roof. Open hall of two timber-
framed bays, and storeyed end bays; left bays possibly re-built. 2
storeys, on rendered plinth. Steeply-pitched hipped roof. Brick
stack towards left end (in shorter left hall bay), and projecting
brick stack to right gable end. Irregular fenestration of three
C20 casements; one two-light to left, and two three-light. Ground-
floor windows formerly with segmental heads. Ribbed door in C20
timber-framed porch with herringbone brick infilling and gabled
plain tile roof under stack. Rear lean-to. Interior: only partly
inspected. Moulded and formerly brattished right end-of-hall beam.
Chamfered axial beam to right end bay. Chamfered axial beam and
joists to inserted floor of right hall bay.
