C18 or early C19. 2 storeys in coursed stone with pantile roof with coped gable
ends with kneelers. Rusticated quoins to right hand corner. No 44 has 2 windows
with lintels with incised keystones. 2 modern penticed bays to ground floor.
Round-headed doorway with plain fanlight and modern door. No 45 has 1 window
with stone lintel with wedge-shaped keystone, modern mullion and transom glazing
of 4 lights, as on ground floor. Similar lintel and keystone to door of 6 panels.

Nos 35 to 37 (consec), Mount Royd. 38 to 40 (consec), St Joseph's Presbytery,
Roman Catholic Church of St Joseph, Church Hall, and Nos 44 to 47 (consec) form
a group, of which Nos 35, 37 and Mount Royd are buildings of local interest.
