Former Institute, now Cottage. 1900 by Sir E. Lutyens. Brown brick, whitewashed
to centre with plain tiled roofs, half-hipped with gablets to ends and swept out
over eaves. Half-H shape plan with end wings projecting and centre recessed
behind terrace court. Two storeys to right, one storey to centre and left on
terraced plinth. Double stack on roof spur to re-entrant angle on right, side
stack to left. Battering buttress to left hand wing with one 4-light cross window,
top hinged,to ground floor. One 3-light window on each floor of right hand wing.
One 4-light window to right of centre in recessed range and two single light windows,
one on each side of stack shaft. Glazed door to left hand re-entrant angle under
flat hood.
