Chest tomb. Commemorates the artist William Hogarth, d. 1764; restored 1856.
Limestone. Pedestal has moulded entablature and corner brackets; inscription panels
include epitaph by Daniel Garrick. Memorial is surmounted by flaming urn carved
with festoons set on plinth which has carvings of palette and brushes, book and
mask, and blank heraldic shields with palm fronds on the side panels. Memorial
is surrounded by wrought-iron railed enclosure with urns.
